Travelling to Agra
Travelling to Agra enjoys excellent connectivity from New Delhi, the capital of India and other neighbouring states. While there are a number of trains to Agra, most visitors prefer taking the bus to Agra or driving down in a private vehicle.
Buses to Agra ply regularly from New Delhi Interstate Bus Terminals at Anand Vihar and Sarai Kale Khan. The journey by road takes little more than 3 hours one-way. Volvo buses, air-conditioned deluxe buses and ordinary interstate buses connect Delhi to Agra.
Visitors can also take a train to Agra Cantonment and drive down to the city thereon. Trains ply from Mumbai, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Goa and other Indian states. In Delhi, trains to Agra can be boarded from the New Delhi, Hazrat Nizamuddin and Anand Vihar Railway Stations. In addition to the regular passenger trains, visitors can also travel to Agra on luxury trains like Royal Rajasthan on Wheels, Palace on Wheels, Maharaja’s Express and Deccan Odyssey.
At the time of writing, the only flights to Agra (Air India) had been withdrawn from operations due to lack of demand.
